Claude Ralston

Claude Prentiss Ralston, 79, of Carthage, Missouri, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on March 2, 1946, to Lloyd and Rosalie Ralston, Claude lived a life marked by quiet strength, hard work, and unwavering devotion to those he loved. A skilled carpenter by trade, Claude didn’t just build with wood—he built a life rich in love, laughter, and faith.

He was a longtime member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Carthage, where he found peace, purpose, and community.

Claude shared 61 beautiful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Debbie Ralston. Together, they raised five children who were the pride of his life:

Tami Hughes (Joe), Doug Ralston (Shantell), Shawn Ralston, Anise Boothe (Andy), and Travis Ralston (Keri).

He was a loving Papaw to 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Though preceded in death by two grandchildren, his love for each of them was immeasurable and unwavering.

Claude is also survived by his sister, Trish Gross (Don), and was preceded in death by his brother, Everette Ralston (Sharon), and his parents, Lloyd and Rosalie Ralston.

He loved to travel with his wife and their close friends, cherishing every adventure they shared. One of his favorite traditions was playing Farkle on Saturday nights with those same lifelong friends—nights filled with laughter, stories, and connection. Claude also had a fondness for country western dancing, especially with Debbie by his side.

A lifelong baseball fan, Claude loved the game as much as he loved a good day’s work and watching his grandchildren at numerous sporting events. In his quieter moments, he enjoyed golfing and painting—simple pastimes that brought him peace and joy.

He was a man of few words but endless heart—a steady presence, a quiet example, and the rock of his family. He leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and craftsmanship that will live on in every life he touched.

“Well done, good and faithful servant.”

Claude will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
