Dennis Bridges

Dennis Wayne Bridges, age 77, of Joplin passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at Mercy Hospital Joplin.

Dennis was born February 15, 1948 in Neosho, MO to the union of Darrell and Wanda (Moore) Bridges. Dennis enlisted in the United States Army and received his GED while in the military. He served his country faithfully and later on was honorably discharged. 

After returning to civilian life, he worked as a brick mason and a welder. He married Laura Trotter on February 28, 1970 and together they were blessed with 55 years of marriage before his passing. Dennis and Laura were members of Southside Baptist Church. After the 2011 Joplin Tornado tore down the church, he helped with the rebuilding process of the new church. Dennis loved serving others and always had a helping hand for anybody that needed it.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Laura Bridges, of the home; and numerous cousins.
