(From Buchanan Funeral Home)Quintessa Faith Ariel Boatright 2005-2025
“Quin” age 19 of Joplin, Mo., passed into glory on August 23, 2025 after a 2 ½ year journey with ovarian cancer.
Quin was born in Joplin, Mo. to Phillip and Myra Boatright. Her name means “Essence of Faith Lioness of God” and that is truly what she is. She graduated from the Boatright School of Excellence (aka homeschool) in May of 2024, and had participated in many of the areas co-ops including HSN, Classical Conversations, and C4. She worked briefly at Braum’s where she thoroughly enjoyed talking with the variety of customers who would stop by.
Many crafts and arts filled Quin’s time. She was a novice cosplayer, seamstress, painter, aspiring author, and the last few months had become a jeweler of unique twisted and formed jewelry that she enjoyed handing out to cheer people up. She had plans on becoming an Electrical Engineer that were changed to Medical Device Engineer after her first run through of chemo. Although she will not be able to create her devices, she has left many sketches and ideas the family hopes to pass onto knowledgeable people later on.
She was always looking for ways to brighten someone's day. Throughout her whole journey with cancer she was amazing. Her attitude inspired everyone around her. Instead of despair and depression she shared her hope and inspiration with anyone she made contact with. Many people would say her life was cut short, but we do not believe that, as followers of Jesus Christ , we believe she lived as many seconds as her Lord intended.
Quin is survived by her parents and 4 siblings who hope to live up to her good example.
