Marjorie Rupsky

Marjorie A. Rupsky of Falls died Sunday at Mercy Hospital, Scranton. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Peter Rupsky.

Born Feb. 6, 1924, in Granby, Mo., daughter of the late Raymond and Millie Anderson Smith, Marjorie had been employed as a seamstress in Lori’s Dress Factory in Falls for 30 years and was a member of the Falls United Methodist Church.

Also surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Lynn Rupsky, Hummelstown; a daughter and son-in-law, Lucinda and Roger Roa, Greeley; a half-brother, Jack Smith, Reeds, Mo.; two half-sisters, Janice Lankford, Seneca, Mo.; and Marilyn Smith, Carterville, Mo.; three grandchildren, Dianne Wilmarth, Mark Rupsky and Stephanie Roa; and three great-grandchildren, Tyler Wilmarth, Jessica Wilmarth and Rubel Rupsky.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Gay Rupsky; and two brothers, Chester Smith and Hershel Smith.

The funeral will be Thursday at 4 p.m. from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, with Pastor Joan Dodson of the Falls United Methodist Church officiating. The family will receive friends from 3 until the time of the service.
