(From Simpson Funeral Home)Robert Cantrell, 67, of Wichita, Kansas passed away on September 11, 2025 in his cabin peacefully with his dog Wiley.
He was born on March 26, 1958 in Wichita, KS to Vernon Dale Cantrell and Wilma Dean Cantrell (Gust).
Bob worked at energy conservation for a long time until he got sick, but he did not let his cancer stop him from working on his truck, doing things outside like, trimming trees or rearranging anything he could. Bob stayed busy. He usually could be found at the local Casey's getting some coffee and a donut for him, his dog and occasionally his grandkids.
He is survived by his brother Steve (Ann) Cantrell, his sons Brandon Hilton, Garrett (Lynna Jordan) Cantrell, his daughters Mariah Cantrell and Morghan (Bodie) Scranton; grandchildren Kysier, Kynleigh, Oakley, and Harlow. He is preceded in passing by his wife Darla Harmon, his parents Dale & Wilma Cantrell and his sister Cindy Cantrell.
In honor of Robert Cantrell's remarkable life, visitation will take place at Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City on Monday, September 15, 2025, at 6:00 pm. A celebration of his life will follow on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at 11:00 am, also at Simpson Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025, at 11:00 am at the Carl Junction Cemetery. All services are under the personal care and direction of Simpson Funeral Home.
