(From Clark Funeral Home)Chad Lee Shellenberger, 52, passed away on October 17, 2025. He was born on August 12, 1973, in Joplin, Missouri, to Vernon William Shellenberger and Debra Kay Adler.
Chad attended East Newton High School and went on to serve his country with honor as a Chief in the United States Navy. He married Nattaya Srisorn, who survives.
Chad loved the outdoors and spent much of his time fishing, hunting, and gardening. He will be remembered for his dedication to family, his service, and his quiet strength.
He is survived by his father Vernon Shellenberger, and his wife, Janet of Neosho, Missouri; his mother, Debra Davis, and her husband, Tom of Bethpage, Missouri; his sister, Kassy Strang, and husband Rob, of Wyandotte, Oklahoma; his brother, Chris Drake of McDonald County, Missouri; his sister, Sandra Hinson of Pineville, Missouri; and his brother, T.J. Davis of McDonald County, Missouri. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories in Neosho, Missouri. Funeral services will take place on Friday, October 24, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., also at Clark Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Belfast Cemetery with full military honors.
