(From Midland Cremation Society)Cheri Lei LaQuet (Tweedy), known to some as Kat, passed away on Oct. 5, 2025 at the age of 58. Cheri died in her sleep while residing in Joplin, Mo, of stage 4 lung cancer.
Cheri is preceded in death by her mother Joan Marie Olds and her step-father George Thomas Olds, as well as by her birth father, Glenn Tweedy.
Cheri is survived by her sister, Charlesa McBride, her husband Gerald D. LaQuet and her two daughters, Lora Christine Fredrich and Kassandra Elizabeth Harding.
Cheri had 3 grandchildren, Camron Parker, Christina Parker, and Madelyn Ryals, Cheri also had 3 step-grandchildren, Shal Fredrich, Gabriella Fredrich, Knyvasia Fredrich, as well as a host of extended family and friends.
Cheri was loved and cared for deeply by many.
Cheri enjoyed gaming online, chatting with people, music, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She will be missed terribly. May her suffering finally be over and her soul rest peacefully.
