(From Clark Funeral Home)Joe Clarence “JC” Turner, entered into rest October 6, 2025, at his home in Granby, just shy of his 84th birthday. He was born in Granby, Missouri, on October 8, 1941, to Rupert Rodney and Pauline Henrietta (Shewmake) Turner. JC was a lifelong Granby resident, attending Granby schools, where he met the love of his life, Beverly Faye Barker. JC and Beverly were married August 25, 1957, in Granby, Missouri. Together they shared 63 years of marriage, until her passing in 2020.
In his younger years, he raised dairy cattle. His boys grew up helping him on the dairy farm. He stayed in the cattle business, but later on raised beef cattle. JC enjoyed road trips with Beverly, together they visited 45 of the 50 states. He also enjoyed Branson music shows and taking drives. JC loved tractors, especially Minneapolis Molines. He could often be found in his shop working on tractors or attending tractor shows. He was a member of the Shoal Creek Tractor Club and the Missouri Cattlemen’s Association.
He was a loving father and a beloved Papa. JC was known for his strong spirit and gentle heart. He is survived by his son, Rick Turner and his wife Barri, daughter Shelly Funk and husband Shaun, 5 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and one brother, Jerry Turner and his wife Jean. He was preceded in death by son, Bradley Alan Turner, his wife, and his parents
A Graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Hazelgreen Cemetery in Boulder City, Missouri.
