(From Ulmer Funeral Home)Elizabeth “Joyce” Cooper, 81, passed away Thursday, October 2, 2025, in Joplin, Missouri. Joyce was born March 3, 1944, in Maryville, Missouri, to Don and Lois Louise (Moorehouse) Hall. She was a lifetime Carthage resident. Over the years, Joyce worked for Walmart, Century 21 Realtor, Ozarkland, Motorola, and Juvenile Shoe. She was involved with Eastern Star, Chapter #93 and had attended Valley View Southern Baptist Church.
Joyce was united in marriage to Jack Severs; he preceded her in death in 2015. She later married Wayne Willis; he preceded her in death in 2016. Joyce then married Jim Cooper; he preceded her in death in 2015.
Joyce is survived by two sons, Doug Willis (Karen) of Carthage, Missouri, and Gordon Severs of Joplin, Missouri; two daughters, Ronda Davis (Jack) and Tonya Smith, both of Carthage, Missouri; one brother, Lee Hall of Redding, California; 11 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, Don and Lois Hall; and two brothers, Donnie and Steve Hall.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at Ulmer Funeral Home in Carthage, Missouri. The visitation will be from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 7, 2025. Burial will be in Park Cemetery, Carthage, Missouri.
