(From Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home)Robert Franklin Wilbur passed away peacefully at his home on October 21, 2025 in Monett. He was in Hospice Care while battling heart disease. He was born on December 14, 1955 in Carthage, Missouri.
“Rob” as he was known as became a member of and served in the Missouri National Guard in 1976. He attended Plymouth Elementary, Central Park Elementary, Monett Middle School and Monett High School. Rob was employed at Wells Aluminum in Monett for 28 years. He retired in 2022. He loved model cars and his dogs Shade and Sassi were very precious to him. He was united in marriage to Tammy Stroll on October 26, 2017 in Lawton, Oklahoma; she survives.
Rob is also survived one stepson; Kody McDowell of Walters, Oklahoma; one stepdaughter; Amanda Brown of Taylorsville, North Caroline; his mother Barbara Wilber Rose of Lacoba Nursing Home in Monett, Missouri; his sisters; Nancy Obermann of Aurora, Sharon Ford of Seligman, Missouri; his loving aunt Margaret McCoy of Carthage, Missouri; his nieces and nephews; Tressie Wormington Wimsatt of Cassville, Missouri, Travis Wormington of Pulaskifield, Missouri, Natasha Friend (Kris) of Aurora, Missouri, Amanda Stewart (Cory) of Battlefield, Missouri, Tyler Ford of Joplin, Missouri, Tara Ford Sparks (Josh) of Seneca, Missouri, Heather Obermann of Aurora, Missouri; great nieces and nephews; Karlea (Cody) Brooks, Khloe (Colt)Keeling, Kasen Holder, Isaac Wormington, Raely Sparks, Asher Friend, Hannah Stewart, Hadley Sparks, Mathew Stewart; great-great-nephew; Briggs Brooks. A loving longtime friend of 55 years; Mark Joeckel of Joplin, Missouri formerly of Monett and many cousins and friends.
A memorial visitation for Rob is being held at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett, Missouri.
