(From Clark Funeral Home)Robert Leon Hussong passed away, at his home in Granby, Missouri, surrounded by his loving family, on October 28, 2025, Robert passed away at the age of 60, following a short battle with cancer. Robert was born in Joplin, Missouri, the only child of Charles Mack and Jean Ann (Lewis) Hussong, on September 16, 1965. He was a lifelong area resident. Robert attended school in Joplin and graduated from Joplin Memorial High School with the class of 1985. Robert married the love of his life, Kelli LeAnn Smith on February 17, 1990, in Miami, Oklahoma. Robert and Kelli shared 35 years of marriage before his passing.
Robert and Kelli started Hussongs Professional Painting. Together they owned and operated a successful painting business for 34 years and operated a small farm. Robert was a hard worker all his life, but he did find some time to enjoy deer hunting, fishing, watching his grandkids play sports, and spending time with his family and friends. He could often be found in his shop working on rebuilding one of his hotrods. Robert was a kind soul and would do anything for anybody. Everyone loved him for his kind, generous heart.
Robert is survived by his mother, Jean Hussong, beloved wife, Kelli Hussong, daughter, Natasha Carter, son-in-law, Justin Carter, grandchildren: Hayden, Kenzley, and Ryker Carter; daughter, Robin Coberley, and son-in-law, Christopher Coberley. He was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation will be held from 5:30 – 7:00 pm on Monday, November 3, 2025, at Clark Funeral Home in Granby, Missouri. The Funeral service will take place at 10:00 am on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at Shoal Creek Revival in Pierce City, Missouri. A Graveside service will immediately follow the funeral. Robert will be laid to rest at Granby Memorial Cemetery in Granby, Missouri.
