(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)Donald A. Pritchard, age 79 of Grove, OK., passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 26, 2025.
Don was born on August 14, 1946, in Florence, AZ., the son of Marion Pritchard and Louise (Allen) Buzzard. Don proudly served his country as part of the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. Following his service, he worked as a CPA, later becoming a Senior Partner, for BKD for many years before retiring in 2001. Don served his church as both an Elder and a Deacon at Fourth and Forest Church of Christ, later becoming, Mount Hope Church of Christ. He also served as a volunteer for the Ronald McDonald House for 17 years.
Don loved to travel with his wife, Donna, and close friends. He absolutely adored his grandkids and getting to spend time with them in their perspective activities. He was an avid cyclist and loved long distance rides. He also loved to read and always had a book ready to go. His BBQ Ribs were famous with his family.
He married the love of his life Donna Lankford in January 1968, she survives. Additional survivors include two children; daughter, Dana Mathis and husband Tony of Grove, son, Derik Pritchard of Fort Worth, TX., grandchildren; Alana Pritchard, Brayden Mathis, Ethan Pritchard, Blake Pritchard, Ava Pritchard and Harper Mathis.
Don was preceded in death by his father, Marion, his mother, Louise Buzzard, and by his stepfather, Buel Buzzard.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Ronald McDonald House in care of the mortuary.
Funeral services have been scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at the Mason-Woodard Chapel. Burial will follow at the Thompson Grove Cemetery near Seneca, MO. The family will receive friends during a time of visitation prior to the service starting at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
