Annalee Hildreth

Annalee Hildreth, age 97 of Carthage, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at St. Luke’s Care Center in Carthage, Missouri. Annalee was born August 18, 1928 in rural Joplin to the late Ollie J. and Katherine E. (Lea) Harmon.

Annalee graduated from Joplin High School in 1946. A few years later, Annalee married Virgil JayDee Hildreth in Joplin on February 6, 1954. These two enjoyed 58 years together prior to his passing in 2012. Annalee was known for doing things her way. From working in the machine shop to driving a school bus, Annalee would find the highest paying job she could find at the time to get what ever she needed at the time, once telling her boss at Vickers that she would only commit to working until she was able to make enough to buy a new car.








She held tightly to her faith in Christ and was a long-time member of Central Christian Center in Joplin. She was a former member of the Western Twirlers Square Dance Club, where Virgil and Annalee met many new friends throughout the years.

Annalee is additionally preceded in death by a son, Steven Hildreth; sisters, Ada Mauler, Bonnie Blagg and brothers, Ray and Ronald Harmon.








Those left to mourn her passing include sons, Darrell Hildreth and wife, Karen of Carl Junction and Gregory Hildreth and wife, Connie of Lexington, Missouri. Three grandsons, Ed, Steven and Michael Hildreth; granddaughters, Cathy Hildreth and Shelly Bowman; one brother, Darrell Harmon.

A memorial service is planned for Monday, December 22, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Parker Mortuary in Joplin. Burial of ashes will take place at Osborne Memorial Park Cemetery in Joplin at a later date.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
