Dario Perez

Dario Perez, age 76, of Purdy, Missouri passed away in the comfort of his home on Monday, December 15, 2025.

He was born January 2, 1949 in Villa Insurgentes, Zacatecas, Mexico - son of Camilo Perez and Alejandrina Arroyo. He was united in marriage to Maria Carolina Serrano Orozco, who survives. Also surviving are his sons, Chuy Perez and Jose Perez of Springfield, Missouri and his daughter, M. Guadalupe Perez and her husband Diego Salas of Mt. Vernon, Missouri.

Dario, known as Yayo, moved to Purdy, Missouri, shortly after he and Maria were married. He was a member of St. Edwards Catholic Church.

He was a hardworking man with many jobs throughout his lifetime. Dario enjoyed walking to the Country Corner in the mornings, grabbing a coffee and scratching his lottery tickets. He was a man of few words, stubborn and ornery at times but his heart was pure gold. He never failed to make others smile and was the first to lend a helping hand to those around him.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, December 19, 2025 at St. Edward Catholic Church in Cassville, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Father Bill Hodgson will conduct the services. Burial will be at Purdy Cemetery in Purdy, Missouri.

The family will begin receiving friends at 6:00 P.M. with the Rosary at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at St. Edward Catholic Church in Cassville. Visitation will go through the night.
