Bonnie Kisling

Bonnie Rose Kisling, 96, of Sarcoxie, Mo departed this life on Monday, April 20, 2015 in Jasper, Mo surrounded by her loving family.

Bonnie entered this life on February 8, 1919 to the union of the late Frank and Grace (Garber) Burkey in Sarcoxie, Mo. As a child she attended Sarcoxie rural schools. On December 3, 1936 she was united in marriage to Carl Kisling in Neosho, Mo. Together they shared fifty-nine wonderful memories until his passing on April 5, 1996. To this union two sons and two daughters were born. Bonnie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a hard worker and very independent and took great pride in doing things on her own. She was a member of Sarcoxie New Beginnings Church of the Nazarene.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, Don Kisling (May 24, 2005), one grandson, three great-grandchildren, five brothers and one sister.

Bonnie is survived by her children; Carl Kisling and wife, Jean, of Sarcoxie, Mo., Betty Darrow and husband, Wayne, of Jasper, Mo., and Rosetta Henry and husband, David, of Lawrence, Ks., daughter-in-law, Sondra Kisling, of Sarcoxie, Mo., nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, two great-great-step-grandchildren, two sisters; Ada Nance and husband, Calvin, of Joplin, Mo and Irma Wecker of Carthage, Mo., two sister-in-laws; Ella Clark and Ruth Smith, both of Sarcoxie, Mo., several nieces and nephews as well as a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Kisling are 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 23, 2015 at Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home, Sarcoxie, Mo with Reverend Kenneth Filsinger officiating. Burial will follow in Garber Cemetery, rural Sarcoxie. Visitation will be Wednesday evening at the funeral home from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Those honoring her life as pallbearers are Russel Ogle, Bill Willoughby, Wesley Williams, Gale Turner, Mike Turner and Austin Turner. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Compassus of Lamar, Mo and the Diabetes Foundation in care of the funeral home.
