Max H. Clayton, 66, Carthage, passed away Friday, July 10, 2015 after a sudden illness. Max Harmon Clayton was born September 19, 1948 in Carthage, the son of the late J.B. Henry Clayton and Cupy Patton Clayton. He was a graduate of Carthage Senior High School, Class of 1967 and was a line worker for Windsor Foods for 38 years, retiring in 2013. He was a member of the Victory Baptist Church, Carthage.
Survivors include two daughters; Tracie Pauline (Erik) Kendall, Carthage and Kimberly Kay (Michael) Clayton, Webb City, MO; two step children, Julie Connor, Joplin and Jason Foster, Clarksville, TN; two sisters, Shelda (Carroll) Todd and Francis Clayton, both of Carthage; one brother, Troy Clayton, Golden City, MO; nine grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 7:00 PM Thursday, July 23 at Knell Mortuary, Carthage, MO. Private graveside services will be held at Fasken Cemetery, Carthage, MO.
