Annie L. Goss, age 82 of Joplin, died September 8, 2015 at Spring River Christian Village.
Born September 14, 1933 in Crestline, KS, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Goldie Marquez. A homemaker, she lived in Diamond, MO until 2013, when she moved to Joplin.
On December 17, 1963, she married Leonard J. Goss at Miami, OK. He preceded her in death on February 16, 2013. Also preceding her in death were a daughter, Angela Goss; sisters, Betty, Connie, Thelma, Zera and Juanita; brothers, R.B. and Albert.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda Hale of Bentonville, AR; a son, Steve Goss and wife Teresa of Joplin; two grandsons, Chris Hale of Bentonville, Andrew Goss of Joplin; a step grandson, Travis Holifield and his children, James and Aden of Joplin; one sister, Rita Phillips of Joplin.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Parker Mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
A special thank you from the family goes to Dr. Sam Carter for the many years of care and the wonderful staff at Spring River Christian Village who cared for Annie this last few months.
