Heaven welcomed an angel on Thursday, September 18, 2015 as Edwin A. Buck, 86, joined his Lord and Savior in heaven.
He was a loving husband to his wife, Edith Buck, for 61 years and a wonderful father to his three surviving children Donald A. Buck, Madeleine M. Gentry, and Barbara A. Buck. It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to a very special man. He was loved dearly by so many. Edwin was born in Carthage, Missouri on November 30, 1928. His pride in life was his long military career in the United States Army. He served for 25 years in the USA, Japan, Germany, Korea, and Thailand. Since retirement, he has been as active member in the local chapters of the DAV, VFW, and Legion.
Edwin is survived by his wife Edith M. Buck, his son Donald Buck and daughters Madeleine Gentry and Barbara Buck, daughter in law Robin Buck, four grandchildren: Erika Marsh, Aaron Smith, Sara Buck, and Christina Bertuccini; and four great grandchildren: Geremiah Marsh Forrest Marsh, Cade Wilson, and Tyler Smith. He is also survived by his sister Patricia Wynne and husband Gerry Wynne of Webb City, and brother Gale Buck and wife Rowena Buck of Eufala, Oklahoma.
Visitation will be held 6-7 p.m. Monday, September 21 at Ulmer Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at Ulmer Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at 10 a.m. immediately followed by graveside services at Park Cemetery in Carthage, Missouri.
