Jeffrey Allen Smith, of Joplin, passed away on Monday September 14, 2015, at Freeman Hospital, following an illness.

 
Jeff was born on August 16, 1962, in Joplin, the son of the late Orville Lee Smith and Glenda (Macy) Smith Boman. He has been a lifelong area resident. He worked as a self-employed painter. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He has been a lifelong entertainer and guitarist, playing in many different bands.

He was is survived by one son, Christopher Paul Smith, Joplin; three brothers, Larry Smith, Noel, Mo., Shawn Smith, Joplin, and Jeremy Smith, Moberly, Mo.; his mother, Glenda Smith Boman, Loomis, Ca.; and two grandchildren, Haven and Jace Smith. He was preceded in death by his father, Orville Lee Smith; two brother, Larry Ray Smith and Gregory Paul Smith; and one sister, Jenny Lee Smith.
