Carolyn Sue Hamilton Brewer passed away October 21, 2016 at Landmark Hospital in Joplin, Mo. after a lengthy illness.
Carolyn was born May 20, 1945 in Granby, Mo. to Pauline and Fred Hamilton.
She lived most of her life in Carthage. She was a homemaker who enjoyed trivia, flowers, reading, crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, needle pointing, and fishing. But, most of all, she loved her family. Carolyn was a member of Kendricktown Methodist Church.
Carolyn was united in marriage to Donald Brewer on February 4, 1964 at Springfield, Mo. Donald preceded her in death on February 26, 2016.
Carolyn is survived by her mother, Pauline Denayer, of Carthage, Mo. She is also survived by her sons: Clarence (Stephanie), Kerry and Jerry and two daughters, Jennifer and Sherene (Fred). One son, Michael, preceded her in death. Grandchildren include Becky, Amanda, Taunie (Ryan), Wesley (Miya), Emalee, Clayton (Kensley), Hayden (Terri), Nick, Angelique (Joe), Ambrosha and ten great grandchildren. Other survivors are sisters Kathryn Smith and Phyllis Talley, both of Carthage; Donna Baker, Carterville; Barbara Hunziker and Connie Chrisman , both of Joplin; three brothers Dale Hamilton and Roy Hamilton, both of Carthage, and David Chrisman , Joplin; a sister, Susie Nally, preceded her in death.
A Celebration of Carolyn's Life will be held at First Christian Church, 219 Webb Street, Webb City, Mo., Tuesday, October, 25, 2016 at 4:00 PM. David Talley will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Simpson Funeral Home of Webb City, MO. Donations would be appreciated and may be made to the above funeral home.
