Christopher Dean 'Chris' Beaver, age 45, Joplin, passed away Monday, October 17, 2016 after a sudden illness.
Chris was born June 14, 1971 in Carthage to Dean and Lois Hoskins Beaver and was a lifetime area resident.
Chris graduated from Joplin High School in 1989 and had worked many years as an installer for Dean's Garage Door Center and the Garage Door Center in Joplin. In March of 2015, he and his fiancé, Jaci, took over operation of the Redings Mill Inn until August of 2016. In 2003, Chris joined the staff of the Redings Mill Fire Department as a volunteer fireman and was named Firefighter of the Year in 2004 and 2012. He was also a longtime member of Joplin Lodge #335, AF & AM.
He is survived by his children, Tyler Beaver, Shelby Beaver and Maecy Beaver, all of Joplin; his parents, Dean and Lois Beaver, Joplin; his sister, Christina Lewis and her fiancé, Ron Coffman, Joplin; grandfather, Roy Roach, Cassville; fiancé, Jaci Pancone, Joplin; niece, Morgan McLees and her husband, Justin, Diamond and great nephew, Greyland McLees.
Chris was preceded in death by grandparents, Ruth Roach and Ferman and June Beaver.
Services are planned for Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel. Rev. Jeff Martin will officiate. Masonic services will be held Thursday at 6:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel with a visitation to follow. Memorial contributions may be made to Joplin Lodge #335, AF&AM or to the Redings Mill Fire Department, both in care of Parker Mortuary.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
