Dalton Dean Heseman, 14, of Monett, MO, was called home by his Heavenly Father on Friday evening, October 21, 2016.
Dalton was born on June 11, 2002 in Springfield, MO, son of Tim Dean Heseman and Sheri Leigh (Green) Heseman. Dalton was currently a freshman at Verona High School and was looking forward to playing baseball with the Verona Wildcats this next spring. He has always had a passion for baseball and had also played on the Monett Bears traveling team with Coach Robert Nations. Dalton was a talented basketball player, golfer, hunter and fisherman and enjoyed archery. He was a smart young man, being on the A Honor Roll, and had a wonderful and humorous personality. He was the class clown, always trying to make friends and family laugh.
Dalton is survived by his parents, Tim and Sheri Heseman, of Monett; one brother, Lucas Mason Heseman, of Verona; one sister, Hannah-Jo Marie Heseman, of Monett; his grandparents, Dennis and Shirley Heseman, of Monett and David and JoNell Green, of Verona; his great-grandmother, Marie “MeMe” Marbut, of Monett; one niece, Kylee Mason and one nephew, Brik Mason, of Monett; his aunts, Shellie Green-Wilson, of Aurora, Melissa Green, of Verona, Melissa Strubberg and her husband David, of Carthage; one uncle, Travis Heseman and his wife Carrie, of Verona; one great-aunt, Gladys Nivens, of Monett; one great-uncle, Jerry “Bubbie” Marbut and his wife Pat, of Brownsville, TX; and a host of extended family and friends that will dearly miss him, but never forget him. Dalton was preceded in death by one uncle, Kevin Wilson and one cousin, Chad Lee Wilson, of Crane.
Funeral services for Dalton will be held at New Site Baptist Church, 1925 Farm Road 1060, Monett, on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Jeff Stockton will be officiating. Interment will follow at Spring River Cemetery, Verona. Visitation will be held at the funeral home, 301 Euclid Ave, Monett, from 6-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening. Arrangements have been entrusted to Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett, MO.
