Eugene “Gene” K. Kelley, 87, Carthage, MO passed away Tuesday morning, October 11, 2016 at his home after a lengthy illness. Eugene was born August 26, 1929 in Des Moines, IA to Neil E. Kelley and Ina L. (Pearson) Kelley. He was a graduate of Winterset High School, Class of 1947. He continued his education at Simpson College, where he obtained his B.A. in Finance. Eugene married Marilyn J. Talbot on June 11, 1950 in Newton, Iowa, she survives. Eugene worked as the Finance Director for the City of Jacksonville, AR. He was a member of the Grace Episcopal Church, Carthage.
Survivors include; his wife, Marilyn J. Kelley, Carthage, two daughters; Debbie (husband William) Johnson, Maumelle, AR and Linda (husband John) Treadway, Conway, AR, one grandson; Bret (wife Kelley) Dague, Little Rock, AR, and two great grandchildren; Eden and Fisher.
He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Alice Reese and Bernice Lonk.
Memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m., Friday, October 14, 2016 at the Grace Episcopal Church, Carthage. Father Steve Wilson will officiate. Inurnment will follow in the Grace Church Columbarium.
