Joseph Wade McNally, age 82, passed away Friday, October 21, 2016, in Joplin, Missouri.
Joe was born April 26, 1934, in Dover, Missouri, to George Dewey McNally and Laura Ellen (Hatfield) McNally.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Randall and James McNally; and one grandson, James D. McNally, II.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley McNally; three sons, Rick McNally and wife, Martha, Tim McNally and wife, Marti, and Phillip McNally, all of Joplin; fourteen grandchildren, Rick McNally, II and wife, Kelly, Joe McNally, II, Sean McNally, Sierra Ball and husband, Zach, Amanda Feken and husband, Scott, Randall McNally, II and wife, Jessie, Crystal Worden and husband, Jeff, Abbey McNally, Josh McNally and wife, Lacey, Dylan McNally, River McNally, Mitch Edwards and wife, Judy, Nick Tuinstra and Sarah Lovett, all of Joplin; sixteen great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Rev. McNally was currently pastoring the Reinmiller Baptist Church in Joplin. Bro. McNally started preaching in 1961. He founded Word of Truth Revivals and five years of this ministry was spent on Indian reservations. Bro. McNally was also featured on the Christian radio station, KCLO, in Leavensworth, Kansas. Upon settling in Joplin, he opened a car dealership and worked there until retiring in 2000.
Funeral services for Bro. McNally are 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 28, 2016 at Duenweg Assembly of God with Pastor Bill Hobson officiating. Burial will follow at Osborne Memorial Cemetery in Joplin. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 27, from 6:00 – 7:00 in the chapel of Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary, Joplin. Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers are Ricky McNally, Joe McNally, II, Sean McNally, Randy McNally, II, Dylan McNally, Mitch Edwards and Gerry Werle.
