Linda Carol Pennell, age 64, of Lamar, Missouri passed away at her home, Friday, September 30, 2016.
Linda was born, October 2, 1951 in Denver, Colorado to Elmer and Martha (Leeper) Moenning. After high school, she married Arthur Henderson. After his death, she married Dale Fletcher, who also passed away. On August 21, 2014, she married the love of her life, Harry Pennell, and he survives. She loved to tend to her flowers and her garden. Linda also loved her dog Wilber, who is credited with saving her life a few years ago, after she had a brain aneurism, by alerting family members. Linda was a member of Newport Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband Harry Pennell, she is survived by two step-sons, Jason (Marie) Pennell and Ottie Pennell, both of Lamar; three brothers, Gary (Peggie) Moenning, Bayard, Nebraska, Charles (Sherry) Moenning, Gering, Nebraska, Melvin (Thelma) Moenning, Philippines; a step-brother, Carl (Renee) Pennell, Lamar; two sisters, Barbara (Eric) Lawrence, Bolivar, Missouri and Tootie (Al) Brown, Taylorsville, Utah; one step-sister Linda (John) Strong, Lamar; two grandchildren, Alex Pennell and Sadie Pennell; and a loving group of nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at Daniel Funeral Home with Lonnie Pennell officiating. Burial will follow in Round Prairie Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 6:00 to 7:00 pm, Monday at the funeral home.
