Margie Drake

Margie Ruth Drake, 79, Neosho, died October 2, 2016 at her home. 

 She was born September 15, 1937 in Newton County, Missouri, the daughter of Oran and Lora (Horton) Hoover and was a lifelong area resident. She graduated from Seneca High School and was a homemaker. She served as secretary and treasurer of the Spring River Pulling Association for over 40 years and was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. 

 Margie married Norman Drake on December 25, 1955 in Neosho and he preceded her in death on January 15, 2014. She is survived by three children, Roger Drake of Neosho, Randy Drake and wife, Jenny Sue of Neosho and Dee Anne Allen and husband, David of Seneca; five grandchildren, Melissa Abercrombie, Rick Allen, Reeta Taylor, Elizabeth Drake and Alan Drake; five great grandchildren, Brianna, Morissalynn and Jordan Allen and Ashlyn and Ava Taylor; one brother, Roy Hoover and wife, Donna of Seneca and one sister, Betty Caudle of Seminole, TX. In addition to her husband, Margie is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Dean Hoover.
