Bessie Wallace Loomis, age 82, Webb City, passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at her home.
Bessie was born September 25, 1934 in St. Johnsbury, Vermont, daughter of the late Gordon and Anne Wallace. She graduated from St. Johnsbury Academy in 1952, and moved to New Hampshire to work as a nurse's aide for several years. She moved to California in 1970 where she worked in Los Alamitos, California as a photographer for GTE Yellow Pages before retiring. She and her husband moved to Neosho, Missouri in 2006. She was a member of College Heights Christian Church.
In addition to her parents, Bessie was preceded in death by sons, James Loomis, Nathan Loomis, Shawn Loomis, and a daughter Shelly Jones; brother, Raymond Wallace and a sister, Connie Wallace
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Robert "Bob" Loomis; sons, Kurt Loomis and wife Lisa of Pineville, Missouri, Eric Loomis of San Bernardino, California, and Robert Loomis, Jr. and wife Tina of Neosho, Missouri; sisters, Barbara Cook of Boscawen, New Hampshire, and Jean Minor of Tilton, New Hampshire; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Memorial service will be Thursday, November 3, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in Parker Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Rick Bushnell officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
