R.E. 'Zack' Zackrison, MA, PhD, age 71, Joplin, passed away at 8:05 p.m. Thursday, November 10, 2016 at home surrounded by his family.
Zack was born December 1, 1944 in Seattle, Washington to the late Eric John Zackrison and Marianne Carstensen Bailes and had lived in Joplin for several years.
Zack owned and operated Effectiveness Consultants and had over thirty years of senior level consulting experience in Scandinavia, the United States and southern Africa utilizing an assessment tool he developed called Interpersonal Dynamics Inventory (IDI)
In 1999, Zack's work with Zimbabwe's National Breweries was recognized by the Organizational Development Institute as the 'Distinguished Organization Development Project Worldwide'. He is a former member of Rotary International, Elks Lodge #501; the Swedish Association of Management Consultants and was certified as a Registered Organization Development Professional (RODP) by the OD Institute and as a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) by the International Council of Management Consulting Institutes.
He married Diana “Dee” Heater on January 28, 1967 and again on December 27, 2012 in Joplin. She survives at the home.
Additional survivors include a daughter, Tami King (Brian), Joplin; a son, Eric Zackrison (Julie), Santa Barbara, California, a step daughter Lisa Wabel (Dan); siblings, Stephen Bailes, Falls City, Washington, Joseph Mugore (Tembi); and grandchildren, Nils, Anna, Max, Eva, Nolan, Emily and Megan.
In addition to his parents, Zack was preceded in death by a brother, Darrel Bailes and wife, Sonja.
A memorial gathering is being planned for a later date.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
