Dorothy A. Soliday, age 96 of Diamond, Mo. passed away late Friday, December 2, 2016 at the Webb City Health & Rehabilitation Center in Webb City, Mo.
Dorothy was born on September 12, 1920 in Kansas City, Ks., the daughter of Murry and Laura (Dykes) Martin. She has been an area resident for most of her life. Dorothy worked as a nurse for the Tinley Park Mental Health Center before retiring in 1968. She attended Diamond First Baptist Church.
She married Harry Soliday in 1950, he preceded her in death on February 10, 1993. Dorothy was also preceded by her parents. Survivors include one son; Daniel Soliday and wife Carolyn of Webb City, one daughter; Barbara Calhoun and husband Kenny of Chicago, Il., one sister; Patricia Johnson of Cupertino, Ca., 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchild.
Graveside services have been scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Fidelity Cemetery in Fidelity, Mo. The family will receive friends during a time of visitation from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
