Mrs. Darcina Marie “Darcy” O’Brien, 38, of Anderson, Missouri, departed this life on Monday, March 20, 2017, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, after a sudden illness.
Darcy entered this life on November 25, 1978, in Des Moines, Iowa, born to the union of Joe and Judy (Maxson) Carney. She was raised in Winterset, Iowa and was a 1997 graduate of Theodore Roosevelt High School in Des Moines. She has resided in Anderson, Missouri, since 2012. Besides being a homemaker she also worked part-time at Casey’s General Store in Anderson. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Anderson.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Walter and Katie Carney and maternal grandfather, Rodney Maxson.
Darcy is survived by her husband, Wesley O’Brien of the home; four sons, Shayler Route, Kasen Hahn, Brayden Hahn and Zander O’Brien; two daughters, Delaney and Jazmine O’Brien; her parents, Joe and Judy Carney of Winterset, Iowa; four brothers, Jamie Carney and wife, Jennifer, Joseph Carney, Jr., Joshua Carney and Jacob Carney; two sisters, Laresa and Kayla Carney; her maternal grandmother, Waunita Maxson; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services for Darcy are 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 31, 2017, in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes with Pastor David Munoz officiating. Burial will follow in the Anderson Cemetery. Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are Jamie Carney, Joseph Carney, Jr., Joshua Carney, Jacob Carney, Jayden Carney and Shayler Route with Melanie Tarrant and Cheyanne Mathis serving as honorary.
