Ronnie Lawrence Sanders, better known as RL passed away March 29, 2017 at the young age of 69 at Carthage Health and Rehab after battling a long hard battle with vascular dementia.
He was surrounded by his loving family when he went to join our Heavenly Father. Ronnie was born August 18, 1947 in Hillsdale, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his Mom, Della Mae Martin Sanders, his father Ervin Sanders, 3 brothers, Robert, James, Herbert, 1 sister Janet Eades. Surviving him are 3 sisters, Vida, Vera, and Kathryn and 1 brother Charles. Also surviving is his beautiful, and devoted bride of 51 years, Mary Kay whom he called "cupcake" he married on Dec. 4th, 1965 in Charlotte, Michigan. Together they have 6 children, 1 of which preceded him in death at birth, Randy. Surviving are 5 children, Candy and husband Jeff, Ronnie Jr. and wife Kristie, Melissa and her companion Bill, Tammy and husband Jose, Rickey and wife Stephanie. He was blessed with 28 grandchildren & great - granchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews. He served in the Desert Storm in Pakistan in 1990. He had more friends than we can count. He never met a stranger, everyone who knew him liked and enjoyed him. Ronnie's work ethic showed in daily life. He worked hard to provide for his family with all they needed, he taught his children the same values, give everything you do 110%. Never give up, give it your all. He was loved and respected by so many. Even the first time meeting them he just had that charismatic way about him. Always the jokester, he had one for everything he encountered. As with everyone there so much more you can say but not enough room.
A memorial service will be held at Forest Park Church satellite campus, in Carthage at 6 pm, Saturday, April 1st. So if you knew him come and share stories about your life together and how he effected your life.
