Donald Ray Bowling, Sr., entered into final glory on Saturday, May 6, 2017, surrounded by his adoring family at the age of 73.
Don was born January 26, 1944 in Monett, Missouri and was a lifelong area resident. He served in the U.S. Army, the reserves and the National Guard, 1968-1987. He had worked in the auto body repair industry and in the plating department at Leggett and Platt, retiring in 2006. Don enjoyed restoring classic cars, fishing and being with his grandchildren and was a member of Hilldale Baptist Church. He was a devoted husband and loving father and grandfather.
Don and Karen Wilcox were married on Dec. 26, 1963 and she survives. Additional survivors include two children, Rhonda Sexton and husband, Jimmy and Michael Andrew Bowling, all of Neosho and six grandchildren, Madeleine Link and husband, Joey, Laurel Sexton, MyraGale Sexton, Wyatt Sexton, Dana Bowling and Miranda Bowling. He is preceded in death by an infant son, Donald Ray Bowling, Jr.
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at 10 am at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, Dr. Jerry Seigel will officiate. Private family interment will follow.
