Lois J. Wells, 68, passed away Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Freeman Hospital. Lois was born April 11, 1949 in New Ulm, Minnesota to Kenneth Wayne Isenberg and Margaret “Thompson” Isenberg.
Lois was united in marriage to Vernon Wells on September 18, 1971 in Pleasant Grove Minnesota; they were married for 47 years. Early in their marriage, she attended Minnesota Bible College for four years.
Lois and her husband lived in various places during their time in the ministry. For the past few years they have lived in Carthage, where Lois worked for over ten years as a logistics supervisor for Leggett & Platt Trucking. Lois was a member of the Oswego Christian Church in Oswego, Kansas.
Lois is survived by her husband, her son Rusty Wells of Carthage, one brother Wayne Isenberg and wife Jo Ellen of Spring Valley, Minnesota and one sister Joanie Jacobs and husband Jim of Woodbury, Minnesota. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 26, 2017 at Ulmer Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Ulmer Funeral Home. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Carthage.
Contributions may be made to Mayo Clinic Brain Cancer Research in care of Ulmer Funeral Home.
Arrangements are under the direction of Ulmer Funeral Home.
