Donald “Donnie” Joe Coffey, age 67, of Exeter, Missouri, passed away on Monday, July 3, 2017, at Roaring River Health Care and Rehab in Cassville. Mr. Coffey, son of George and Kathleen (Wear) Coffey, was born on April 1, 1950, in Twin Falls, Idaho. He graduated from Wheaton High School in 1968. Donnie was a truck driver and in his later years he owned and operated Don’s Home Repairs, a traveling handyman where he fixed small engines and performed home repairs. He loved to play golf and being around family and friends, and will be missed by many.
Survivors include two sons, Brian Coffey, of Republic, and Joey Coffey, of Cassville; two daughters, Kellie Turner, of Lamar, and Becky Coffey, of Exeter; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Susan Sorensen and her husband Donny, of Exeter; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Bruce Coffey.
Memorial contributions may be made to Monett V.F.W. Post #4207 and entrusted to the White Funeral Home and Crematory, P.O. Box 890, Cassville, MO 65625.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 8, 2017, at Maplewood Cemetery in Exeter, with Pastor Jerry Francisco officiating.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, Missouri.
