Delores Faye Hardy, age 91, Joplin, passed away at 4:30 a.m. Saturday, September 23, 2017.
Delores was born October 21, 1925 in Joplin to the late Carl E. Mulkey and Hazel Thacker Mulkey and had lived in Joplin most of her life.
A homemaker, she was a longtime member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and will be missed by all that knew her.
Delores married James B. Hardy on October 14, 1944 in Madison, Wisconsin. He preceded her in death on March 4, 2003.
She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Scott Hardy and two brothers, Vernon and Orval.
Survivors include two sons, James D. Hardy and his wife, Nancy, Joplin, Douglas A. Hardy and his wife, Barbara Heinrichs-Hardy, Ozark, Missouri; grandchildren, Paula Wolf and Jeff Gloshen, James M. Hardy, Lisa Chapman and husband, Todd, Kevin T. Hardy and wife, Gina, Heather Heinrichs, Heidi Heinrichs; great grandchildren, Sam Wolf, Joe Wolf, Whitney Mills and husband, Nathan, Scott J. Hardy, Rachel Hardy, Waylon Campbell, Savannah Chapman, Jett Chapman, Piper Chapman, Pressli Chapman, Lillian Hardy, Alex Heinrichs, Lauren Harris and husband, Isaac, Austin Wolf and wife, Kendal; and one great great grandchild, Quinn Mills.
A funeral mass is scheduled for Thursday at 4:00 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6-7:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church Building Fund, in care of Parker Mortuary.
