Dolores Estella “Tiny” Johnson, age 45 of Joplin, MO passed away at her home at 11:24 AM on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 following an illness.
Dolores was born in Joplin on June 2, 1972 to Marion T. Nelson and Patricia A. (Thomas) Nelson. She had lived in Lamar, MO as well as Chanute, KS before moving to Joplin one year ago.
She sold Mary Kay products throughout the area, and enjoyed fishing in her free time. She spent many years as a homemaker and caring for her children.
Dolores was united in marriage with Daniel E. Johnson in Joplin on February 26, 2011. He survives.
Additional survivors include her father, Marion Nelson of Chanute, KS; her grandfather, Rev. Leroy Nelson of Fort Scot, KS; two sons, Darnell Lynn Harrison of Independence, KS, and Leevon Eugene Harrison of Carthage, MO; one daughter, Monisha Ches’ray Amaya (husband, Arnoldo) of Joplin; two brothers, Patrick Harrison (wife, Rhonda) of Bronaugh, MO, and Elbert Harrison of Carthage, KS; and one sister, Virginia Wilson (husband, Deon) of Galena, KS.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Wooden, and one sister, Truie Harrison.
A graveside service will be held at Parkway Cemetery of Joplin at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 30, 2017. Her father, M. T. Nelson will officiate.
Visitation will be held at Derfelt Funeral Home of Galena on Friday, September 29, 2017 from 7-8:00 PM.
