Thomas Eugene Kisling, 61, of Sarcoxie, Missouri, passed away Friday morning, September 1, 2017 at his home.
Thomas was born on November 17, 1955 in Jasper County, Missouri to the union of the late Clarence and Lucia (Sutton) Kisling. He was a graduate of Sarcoxie High School. He was employed as an engineer for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, retiring in 2004. He enjoyed watching baseball. Thomas had a friend who owned a small plane, and on occasion they would fly to various ball games. At the early age of fourteen months, Thomas was diagnosed with polio. It was said he would never walk. Thomas overcame many obstacles and achieved so much in life. He was a hard worker. He loved his son, daughter-in-law and his grandchildren. Always willing to help them in anyway that he could. He also enjoyed a glass of sweet tea as well as spending time with his friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Thomas is survived by his son, Jared Kisling and wife Stephanie, of Reeds, Missouri; three grandchildren, Kobe Kisling, Peyton Kisling and Haydon Kisling; one brother, John Kisling of Sarcoxie, Missouri and one sister, Doris Fairfield, of Fort Worth Texas; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Memorial services for Mr. Kisling are 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home in Sarcoxie, Missouri, with Pastor Scott Stone officiating.
