Kristina Kay Knight, 48, Neosho, entered into rest on Oct. 24, 2017 at her home, following a sudden illness. Kristina was born July 29, 1969 in Denver, Colorado and lived most of her life in the southwest Missouri area. She was a homemaker and attended the Baptist Church. She enjoyed all animals, but was especially fond of horses and had received numerous awards showing horses and had participated in the ‘Ride For Life’. Her favorite quote was ‘Today is the first day of the rest of my life’. Kristina married James Knight on Aug. 1, 2004 in Joplin and he survives. Additional survivors are two children, Curtis Cooper of Ava, Missouri and Kayla Griffin and husband, David of Stockton, Missouri; her mother, Virginia Lundstrom of Ava; a half-brother, Richard Martz of Florida; two half sisters, Barbara Collier of Hill City, Kansas and Becky Mason of Stella and nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Lyle Lundstrom.
Visitation services will be held on Friday, Oct. 27, 2017 from 2 to 4 pm at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho. Contributions in memory of Kristina may be made to the Joplin Humane Society, c/o Clark Funeral Home, PO Box 66, Neosho, Missouri 64850.
