LaVerne M. Muth, 97, Seneca, MO, passed away October 2nd at the Seneca House Nursing Home.
LaVerne Milton Muth was born September 8, 1920 in Otis, Kansas the son of John F. and Louise (Schlegel) Muth. Verne as he was affectionately by his family and friends, loved yard work and gardening. He was born in Kansas moved to Colorado and then moved to the area in the 50’s. Verne retired from MODOT.
LaVerne married Alta (Stockdale) March 30, 2012 and she survives.
Additional survivors include children; Shannon Fink and wife Vivian, Wyandotte, David Buening and wife Mary Neosho, Belinda Barnes and husband Mark, Goodman, Robert Buening and wife Tina, State of Florida, Bill Buening and wife Janet, Diamond, Kathy Jennings and husband Fred, Goodman, Roger Buening and wife Andi, State of Florida, Gordon Roughton and wife Sarah, Springfield and TJ Roughton and wife Toni, San Diego; siblings; Orva, State of Colorado, Gerold, State of Colorado and Jollyn, Yukon; 31 grandchildren, 42 great-Grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.
LaVerne was preceded in death by siblings, Ruth, Dorothy, Bill, Melvin, Doloris and Vera Jean; one daughter Wanda Muth and 2 grand-daughters.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7pm, Thursday, October 5, 2017 at the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, October 6, 2017 at the Campbell-Biddlecome Chapel with Vivian Fink officiating. Burial will be in the Seneca Cemetery.
