Clyle "Bob" Leroy Linam, Jr., age 71, of Joplin, passed away at his home on Wednesday, November 15, 2017, following an extended illness.
Bob was born October 14, 1946 in Joplin, Missouri to the late Clyle Linam Sr., and Sarah Marcelle Linam. He was a 1964 graduate of Joplin High School. Bob was a lifetime member of the Joplin Masonic Lodge #335. He worked as a Diesel Mechanic for Yellow Freight from 1978 - 2005. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Duenweg. Bob was known for fishing, he enjoyed fishing more than breathing.
On October 9, 1965, Bob married Creola Blackwell in Neosho, Missouri, she survives of the home.
Additional survivors include a son, Andy Linam and wife, Kim of Alba; daughter, Lori Linam of Duquesne; sister, Janie Zeman and husband, Charlie of Joplin; brothers, David Linam and wife, Diane of Joplin and Steve Linam and wife, Linda of Oronogo; 5 grandchildren, Gage and Lilly Linam, Derek, Collyn and Liam Marsh; great grandchildren, Isaac and Gunner.
Funeral services are planned for Saturday, November 18 at 10:00 a.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel, with Rev. Gregg Gooch officiating. Family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the mortuary. Masonic rites will be given Friday at the start of visitation.
