Erma Dean Hill, 78, Neosho passed away on Nov. 11, 2017.
She was born Nov. 9, 1939 in Neosho to Thomas Henry and Effie (Hargrave) Thogmartin. Erma was a lifelong resident of Neosho and was co-owner and operator of the Neosho Beauty College for many years. She was a member of the National Hairdressers Association and The Sheep Shed.
Erma married Jerry Edward Hill on March 17, 1957 in Neosho; he survives. Additional surviving family include her children, Carrie Jo Ward of Webb City, MO and Scott Hill of Neosho, MO; two brothers, Tommy Thogmartin and Melvin Thogmartin; four sisters, NayDean Kuhns, Ila Dean Hicks, Mary Williams, and Carol Branham; two grandchildren, Sean Hembrough and Jerry Shane Hembrough; and five great grandchildren. Erma was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Norma Owens, Gearl Dean Walker, and Elva Dean Hopkins, and one brother, Billy Lee Thogmartin.
Visitation will begin at 9:00 am on Thursday, November 16, 2017, with services immediately following at 10:00 am at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, with Jeremy Evans officiating. The casket will remain closed at all times. Interment will be at the New Salem Cemetery in Neosho.
