Freda J. (Bartley) Hance age 87 passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Carl Junction Residential Care.
She was born on March 4, 1930 to Everett and Ethel Bartley. Freda was one of twelve children, Floyd Bartley, Mildred May, Irene Bartley, Warren Bartley, Helen Sample, Mary Jean Hopkin, Bonnie Silvers, Johnny Bartley, Everett Bartley and Dwight Bartley.
She married Gerald Hance on November 12, 1948 and he survives her. They had two sons, Gary who passed away with cancer and Douglas Hance and wife Lois of Grove, Oklahoma; five grandsons, six great grandsons, and three great great granddaughters. Freda worked for the law firm Sialer, Blanchard, Van Gleet and Dermont for 30 years. Both Freda and Gerald retired on the same day. They built a beautiful brick home on 18 acres at Paradise Point on Grand Lake where they enjoyed the water and fishing with their friends Jeff and Jackie Lundien. The Lord blessed them in so many ways, letting them travel where they wanted to go with their grandson and friends in their motorhome.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 20, 2017 at 10:00 AM in the chapel of Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City with Reverend Bob Simon officiating. The family has requested that no flowers be sent for the memorial service, they would like donations to be sent to Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church in her memory.
