Mildred M. Marshall, 98, Carthage, MO, passed away Friday, November 24, 2017 at Mercy Hospital, Joplin. Mildred Marie Marshall was born December 29, 1918 in Sarcoxie, MO to the late Dick Marshall and Nell (Taylor) Marshall. She graduated from Sarcoxie High School, Class of 1936 and later received her associate degree from George Washington University. Mildred worked as a civil servant for the U.S. Government. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Carthage. Mildred was also a member of BPW and Presbyterian Women. She was an avid bridge player and loved to travel.
Survivors include one sister, Helen Heman, Carthage, MO; and one niece, Anne Finger (husband William “Bill”), Tulsa, OK.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Private family inurnment will take place at a later date in Park Cemetery, Carthage. Memorial gifts are suggested to the First Presbyterian Church, Carthage, MO in care of Knell Mortuary, 308 W.
