Aidan Matthew Leas, age 17, of Joplin, passed away on Thursday evening, November 30, 2017, at Freeman Hospital following a sudden illness.
Aidan was born September 19, 2000, in Joplin, Missouri to Sean Leas and Staci Phillips Leas. Aidan was a sophomore at Joplin High School where he loved his Peer Buddies, teachers, and other students. He loved horseback therapy at Horses of Hope and Special Olympics outings.
He is survived by his parents; a sister, Parker Leas; brother, Declan Leas; grandparents, Calvin Leas of Weston, Missouri, Marsha Ray and husband, Rick of Greenfield, Missouri; several extended family and friends that will miss Aidan's joyful spirit, tenacity, and most of all his love.
Aidan is preceded in death by grandparents, Clifford and LaVerna Phillips.
Funeral services are planned for Wednesday, December 6, at 10:00 a.m. at Parker Mortuary with burial to follow at Paradise Cemetery, Jasper, Missouri. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at the mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Parker Mortuary to help defray funeral expenses.
