Barbara J. Dennis passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2018 Mercy Hospital in Joplin. Barbara was born July 16, 1933 in Kansas City, Kansas to William Lester and Dorothy "Morrison" Drury.
Barbara lived in Carthage since 1965 and worked at Leggett & Platt, Big Smith and retired after working at the Jasper County Jail. She attended the Jasper Christian Church.
Barbara is survived by one daughter, Patricia Hensley of Carthage, and one brother, John Drury of Kansas City, Kansas.
Barbara was preceded in death by three sisters, LaDonna Drury, Patricia Fry and Flo Dean Lewis, and one brother, Donald Drury.
The body has been taken for cremation and a private family service will be held at a later date.
