Camille Ketcher Doerge, age 61, Joplin, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2018 at Freeman West Hospital after a sudden illness.
Camille was born December 4, 1956 in Joplin, and attended Joplin Schools. She worked for years at St. John's Hospital working in the PBX Department, mainly with Security. She was very proud of her Native American roots, being associated with the Cherokee and Oneida Tribes, and was also a member of Eastview Baptist Church.
She was a devoted "mother" to many. She devoted her life to taking care of small children for many years. She has helped many adolescents over the years, be it family or friends. Most recently she was devoting her time, love, and care to her grandson, Luke. She was a "mother" to many, and friend to all. She will be greatly missed.
Camille was preceded in death by her father, Jack M. King, a brother, Jackie King, and her "Grandma Woody", Euna Woody.
Survivors include her husband, Chris Doerge of the home; children, Micha Winter and husband Tommy of Joplin, Brooke Lawrence and husband Cameron of Joplin, Hannah Hymer and husband Michael of Asbury, Missouri, Alex Watson and husband Tristan of Joplin, and Ashley Doerge of Joplin; parents, Jody and "Pudge" Ketcher of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; brothers, Mitchell King and wife Gina of Spokane, Missouri, Richard Chisoe; grandchildren, Skyler Winter, Luke Winter, Dominique Bradley, Daunte Bradley, Aayden Hymer, Davien Watson, River Hymer, Beau Watson, and London Lawrence.
Funeral services will be Monday, January 29, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Pastor Gregory Mech officiating. Interment to follow in Osborne Memorial Cemetery with family serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at Parker Mortuary on Sunday from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions are requested to the Shriners Hospital for Children, St. Louis, Missouri.
