Ka Ying Lee, a loving and caring father and grandfather, age 62, of Fairview, MO passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, MO.
He was born on December 31, 1955 in Xieng Khouang Laos, to Song Pao Lee and Nhia Vang. On May 12, 1978, he married Xee Vang Lee in Vientiane Laos. Ka grew up in Laos and served in the CIA for the United States during the Vietnam War. Twenty-nine years ago, Ka and his family came to the United States from a refugee camp in Thailand. While living in Long Beach, CA he received vocational education in electronics. Ka was a self-employed poultry farmer. Some of his favorite pastimes were hunting, inventing, and playing the qeej.
Ka is survived by his wife, Xee of Fairview; two sons, Chue Lee and Shai Lee of Fairview; seven daughters, Helen Cha and husband Ton Cha of Springfield, Mai Chou Lee of Fairview, Kai Lee and husband Eddie Hang of Ephrata, PA, Mai Kao Lee and husband Bee Lor of Neosho, Yee Lee and fiancé Adam Thao of Springfield, Shing Yeng Lee and Linna Lee of Fairview; eight grandchildren; three brothers, Yong Khue Lee and Xeng Lee both of Xieng Khouang Laos and Xyooj Lis of Rose, OK; four sisters, Mai Lee of Xieng Khouang Laos, Mee Lee of Merced, CA, Ia Lee and Kazoua Lee of Xieng Khouang Laos. Preceding him in death were his parents; one son, Jet Lee and two brothers.
Service will be held from 8:00 A.M. Saturday, January 27, 2018 until Monday, January 29, 2018 at McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton, Missouri. Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. Monday at Dice Cemetery in Fairview, Missouri.
