Marjorie Louise Newby, age 90, Joplin, passed away at 7:25 p.m. Friday, January 12, 2018 at Freeman Hospital.
Marjorie was born October 11, 1927 in Joplin, Missouri to the late Milton Elmer Newby and Esther I. Handy Newby and had lived in Joplin all of her life.
She worked as an engineer clerk for Southwestern Bell Telephone for several years. Marjorie was of the Catholic faith.
Marjorie is survived by several extended family members, including two cousins, Robert Proctor and wife, Barbara, Altadena, California, and Stephen Proctor and wife, Patricia, Pasadena, California.
Services are planned for Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel. Private interment will follow at Forest Park Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
