(From Daniel Funeral Home)
Warren Dee Lowe, age 82, of Lamar, Missouri passed away Thursday morning, January 25, 2018, surrounded by family at Truman Healthcare Center.
Warren was born August 2, 1935 in Lamar, one of the five children of Fred and Ynetia (Stewart) Lowe. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Andy Lowe; two sisters, Hazel Rogers and Mary Myers; and a grandson, Rocky Alan Burdick.
On November 9, 1956, at Preach Haddock’s home in Lamar, Warren married Shirley Ann Murray. They made their home and raised their three children in Lamar where he worked as a supervisor for the Lamar Street Department for many years. His manicured lawn and spotless vehicles showcased Warren’s meticulous attention to detail and his strong work ethic. He appreciated nature, whether it meant a great day at his favorite fishing spot, enjoying a walk with his faithful dog, Benji, or simply watching the neighborhood rabbits and squirrels. Many will remember Warren as an entertaining storyteller and a loyal friend. His greatest joy came from time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Warren was a member of Cornerstone Southern Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Shirley; one son, Steve (Jill) Lowe, Sun Lakes, Arizona; two daughters, Debbie (Jim) Wright and Rhonda (Linn) Bailey, all of Lamar; a sister, Nancy (Don) Duncan, Lamar; five grandchildren, Brandy, Kasha (Brian), Kirby, Kelsey, and Dalton.
