On Sunday, February 25, 2018, Nancy S. Peterson passed away at the age of 72. Nancy was born in Joplin, MO to Wayne and Mildred Allen on September 28, 1945. She was united in marriage to Kevin Peterson on January 11, 1974 in Joplin, MO.
Nancy was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and homemaker. She will be forever remembered and loved by her husband and best friend, Kevin. They enjoyed spending time in nature and bird watching together. She loved listening to music and dancing. Nancy was very strong in her Catholic faith.
Nancy will also be forever remembered and loved by their children and their spouses, Rob (Kim) Powell, Joplin, MO, Mark (Lori) Powell, Oronogo, MO, Tom (Suzi) Powell, Joplin, MO, and Teresa (Steve) Northrup, Diamond, MO.
Nancy will also be remembered and loved by her mother, Mildred Childers, Joplin, MO, sisters Barbara (Jake) Marbough, Joplin, MO and Shirley White, TX, brothers Steve (Darlene) Allen, Joplin, MO and Richard (Becky) Allen, Joplin, MO. She had 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, who will remember her with much love.
She was preceded in death by one son, Craig Peterson.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 28th at Ulmer Funeral Home in Carthage, MO. Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 1 also at Ulmer Funeral Home in Carthage, MO with Shane Munn officiating. Burial services to follow at Nashville Cemetery in Nashville, MO.
